I create paintings and ceramic sculptures that explore motherhood and women’s resilience through personal experience and Korean cultural history. Using imagery from nature alongside traditional materials such as Hanji and pigments, I reflect on maternal protection, sacrifice, and inherited memory. My work confronts issues of preference for sons and the legacy of the Comfort Women, while drawing on Korean folktales and Minhwa painting to examine how feminine love, endurance, and care continue across generations.
